RPG Fudousan Episodes 1, 2, 3 Fanservice Review

The site is brought back from the dead and so am I.

Previews of this season indicated a paucity of ecchi, so I decided to wait for a week or two to see what would be worth covering. RPG Fudousan is my selection and so I will begin. This is based on a 4koma of the same name and has some light service sprinkled throughout the manga, which should give us some consistency week by week.

Episode 01:

Our story begins with our well endowed pink hair named Kotone entering the city and searching for a place to live.

There is a very strange inconsistency in the “adaptation” of the source material from what I’ve seen of the first two episodes. Here, our resident loli (named Fa) stands in her underwear with no alterations. This might indicate to you that the studio is willing to faithfully adapt all material as it was from the manga. This is not the case as you will soon see.

More underwear shots almost 1 to 1 adapted from the manga.

As for the story, Kotone enters what appears to be some kind of medieval real estate agency in search of an apartment and a desire to keep the rent below 300G, as she daydreams about a rather romantic idea of what her life in the city will be like. It can be assumed that 300G is not a significant amount of money from the remainder of the episode, so the idea of having a large, roomy apartment in a bustling city for low cost earns a snide remark from our blonde (named Rufuria), who chides Kotone as a country girl with no common sense.

Helpfully, there is also a currency converter in the above screen. 1 gold is 120 yen. I’m not sure how this is supposed to help viewers understand the economics of the city, as there is a difference between the value of a currency and its purchasing power.

There may be other discrepancies in this adaptation, but obviously this site is solely concerned with service, so I will focus on that. I believe this is the first shot we see of the Fa’s normal outfit in its entirety. As she’s being held upside-down she’s revealed to be wearing black panties. As you see from the above anime shot, they have been nerfed to resemble some kind of short spats. This is strange considering we’d just seen her in her actual underwear only minutes prior.

As for the story, Rufuria and Fa show Kotone some apartments that 300G can afford. Kotone is obviously discontent with what she is shown, until Fa mentions that there is a room next to her own apartment. Kotone accepts despite the rest of the complex being inhabited by monsters that she is unable to speak with.

After informing the rest of RPG Real Estate that she will be working with them, Kotone is shown enjoying her new life with Fa in the bath.

This one might not bother you as much as it did I. If they really wanted to tone done the lewdness of Fa, they could have easily covered her up with more soap or fogged up the scene more heavily. Instead, she’s shown in nearly all her glory, making the previous spats nerf seem even more strange in comparison.

You may have seen this nerf covered on other sites. This is the more nefarious nerf in my opinion, as the panties riding in her crevice have been changed to a pair of black Daisy Duke’s, and the skin stripe showing her underboob has been completely filled in. While still a fairly revealing outfit, the inconsistencies continue to baffle me.

Moving on to the story, we get some background information on some of the characters and the world itself. Rakira (black hair) is a warrior who Rufuria implies is highly skilled. Rufuria mentions it’s been 15 years since world peace has been achieved, and says that Rakira could have been a hero had she been present during the battle against the “Dark Lord’s Army.” I’m not sure if this information will be relevant in the future or even mentioned again, but I found it rather strange given the current setting.

Kotone is a recent wizard graduate that desired adventure, but felt that she couldn’t live as a freelancer, so she decided to enter employment in the city.

Rufuria is a priest that wants to become a Royal Priest and give political advice to the King. With such lofty goals, she shortly after laments her current situation as a real estate agent.

Fa was found in the forest by their “boss” Satona, and was told to keep her at RPG Real Estate as a mascot.

Kotone takes a call from a famous adventurer named Luna, who Rufuria seems to think is her ticket to the King. Rufuria tries hard to earn Luna’s appreciation and business, showing her a variety of expensive and luxurious castles and mansions. It is Kotone’s instinct that wins the day however, as her suggestion of a simple house in the country earns Luna’s approval.

Rufuria is a bit downtrodden that her hard work didn’t pay off and is comforted by Rakira, and Kotone stands satisfied in her room after her first day in the city, promising to continue to work hard.

Episode 2:

Kotone wastes no time in this episode, showing us her sizeable cleavage normally concealed beneath her wizard cloak. She remarks that it has been a week since she’s moved into the city, and is excited that she will be leaving the city for her first business trip.

Here is our introduction to Satona, mentioned last episode, who only at a glance one can tell is soon to engage in maximum ara ara mode. Thankfully, there are no shota’s nearby, at least not yet.

Thankfully, Satona does not seem to have been nerfed too heavily. There is a section of her outfit around the navel that is exposed in the manga that appears covered up in the anime, but that might just be to make the coloring easier. Rufuria looks up to Satona, as she is a Royal Priest and her boss. It is likely that she views Satona as a key to becoming a Royal Priest.

After meeting up with the members of RPG Real Estate, Satona show’s the party the former castle of the Dark Lord, which has been repurposed as a royal theme park. The area around the castle has also become a small town, and Satona wants more people to move in. This is where RPG Real Estate comes in, to attract more residents to the town surrounding the castle.

Satona shows RPG Real Estate a variety of exotic properties near the town that she’d like to have occupied. They are able to make things work out with monsters/non-human residents and are satisfied with their success.

Kotone is troubled at her inability to find a resident for a mansion currently owned by an elderly woman. She promises to continue seeking a resident; to ease the growing stress of the job, Rufuria decides to throw a welcoming party for Kotone, and invites everyone to her house, which she also shares with Rakira.

The above scene shows that the studio is not averse to some shameless service. And Fa is yet again in a state of complete undress, with only her hair and hand covering her breasts. So I must ask again, why the changes with the Daisy Duke’s when you are willing to show Fa almost completely nude on multiple occasions? I almost want to believe it was done because it was easier to draw or animate with, rather than make her ass look good every time, but wouldn’t the old outfit be easier to draw?

The story is as you can imagine from the screenshots. The reason Kotone has trouble with the outfit is that it belongs to Rakira, who of course remarks that she feels as if she’s lost at something.

Rufuria and Rakira host a party, but Rufuria drinks a bit too much and falls asleep. As Rakira carries her away she invites Kotona and Fa to bathe. During this bath, Kotone comes up with an idea, that the mansion mentioned earlier in the episode be occupied by a large number of residents chipping in a small amount of money, rather than seek a rich owner willing to buy the property outright.

The amount of soap in this bath scene and how it is drawn differently than that of episode 1 makes me a bit suspicious that it could be reduced in a BD release. I think it’s more likely that a different artist rendered the soap in episode 2 though. The soap does seem a bit “cheap” and easy to remove though, but no nudity underneath of course. I would put the chances in the negatives for a nude BD release if it were possible.

The episode ends with Kotone asking if the rest of the party would like to buy a mansion live in it together someday. This would of course come in the distant future, but the rest of the party seems to like the idea.

Episode 03:

Our episode begins with a necromancer named Lily, who has requested a property tour. Kotone tries her best to sell this property, but Lily is simply not interested.

After returning from showing Lily the residence, Rufuria receives a call from a local business partner who has informed RPG Real Estate that another resident has left his apartment, lasting only a month. Said apartments are frequently abandoned due to complaints of ghostly activity in the rooms. RPG Real Estate decides to investigate the apartments themselves and flee after encountering the ghosts.

Perhaps in hopes that it could attract new potential residents, RPG Real Estate decides to advertise the apartments as haunted. Lily returns a few days later, having caught wind of the haunted residence and requests a visit. Lily reveals she is a necromancer, who welcomes the presence of the dead. She is of course, smitten with the place only shortly after arriving and investigating. Things turn out well again for RPG Real Estate, having earned another lease agreement.

The members of RPG Real Estate return to visit the necromancer, and are not horrified by the ghostly possessed dolls she has made to become servants. It seems disturbing the souls of the dead is an accepted practice in this universe. I say this half joking, as earlier in the episode Lily was shown trying to convince the ghosts to help her, rather than forcing them to.

A fantastic scene here that comprises the majority of this episodes service. The size of Rufuria’s breasts seem to vary slightly between scenes, but overall I’d say she’s bigger in the anime. The hips on the females aren’t nearly as wide as in the manga unfortunately, and something about Rakira’s tits (in this particular scene at least) just seems a bit off, but maybe that’s just me.

As for the story of this shower scene- you needed one?

An unfortunate nerf, truly. Rufuria’s assets would have looked great in Rakira’s outfit. Look closely and you’ll also see that Rakira’s outfit looks a bit more revealing in the anime in this particular shot. We do get a near 1:1 shot of Fa lying on the ground in her panties though. Another victory for lolicons worldwide.

These two are overseeing a kingdom employee mandated project requiring the contribution of magic. This magic power is being used to create a Warp Gate which Rufuria claims will expand travel throughout the kingdom, therefore increasing business for them. The black hair on the left is dejected though, stating that she has miscalculated and the project will not receive the required amount of magical power from the populace.

Fa’s immense magical power is enough to contribute the remainder of required magic. She is initially dejected, believing she has destroyed the machine, but is overjoyed after being told it has instead been a great help.

Webm Album

The episode ends with Rufuria speculating on the nature of Fa, wondering if the dragon attack seen at the beginning of the episode and Fa’s tail are somehow connected.

But that is it for these three episodes. The service is overall rather light, and there aren’t many webm worthy moments, but there isn’t much else to work with this season. The Dark Lord was mentioned yet again in episode 2, and I didn’t include it, but there was also a brief scene midway through episode 2 where Satona remarks on the usefulness of Fa in bridging the relationship between human and non-humans/monsters. And now at the end of this episode Rufuria is speculating on the nature of Fa. I initially assumed the mention of the Dark Lord would either be a one-off or just a convenient tool to progress some aspect of the setting or the plot. But it seems it will play a larger part than I had expected. Of course, you can expect there to be some service sprinkled in as well.

But, that will have to wait for next time.
