Thoughts on the anime
SILVER LINK is comfortably upper-middle class in the anime hierarchy. Almost every show they’ve produced has received blogger attention and most of their series have turned in top 10 sales numbers. They’ve started strong and seem to become more relevant as an anime studio with each passing year.
Strike the Blood was SILVER LINK’s attempt at a big iconic action anime in the same vein as A Certain Magical Index , which of course would require no shortage of suggestive fanservice.
While Strike the Blood falls short of Index‘s lofty production standards, it did one thing that Index couldn’t match. Pleasing hardcore ecchi fans.
It seems surprising that this is only the second SILVER LINK produced anime to have R-rated nudity. It seems like they always have ecchi themes close to their hearts in just about every project they do.
The anime itself was super cliched and clearly targeting a young demographic. But it was pretty to look at with great character design. Not a terrible way to spend 10 hours if you liked shows like Index .

Thoughts on the fanservice video
I wasn’t initially going to make a video for this anime due to there only being two nude scenes and a wet shirt scene. But I decided to make a video on the merits of how unusually good the art and character design are by ecchi standards.

Sayaka. She holds back compared to some of the other characters (and villains!), but her arrow holster-strap more than made up for it.
