DxD is finally back after a three year absence, the longest gap between seasons in the franchise. The first order of business: cleaning up the mess the previous season left behind.
So far the editing style of Cutey Honey Universe doesn’t suggest obvious upcoming blu-ray changes, which isn’t great. However, there was an interesting surprise after the credits had rolled.
Despite being a very strong anime season overall, there isn’t a lot going on ecchi-wise this Spring. DxD Hero should do more than enough to make up for that, and hopefully Cutie Honey comes through as well.
It seems Netflix has been on a roll lately, and their recent foray into anime production has been no exception. It would have been very understandable if they had watered down a series as intense as Devilman, but they didn’t hold back at all.
