Dokyuu Hentai HxEros Episode 03 Fanservice Review

An excellent episode.  This is the point the story where the (potential) nudity gets ratcheted way up… expect all the remaining episodes to be just as packed.

Before covering this episode, here are the less censored images from episode 2… (note: the less censored version of episode 3 got released immediately, so the episode 3 caps are all “less censored” as well).

Overall Thoughts

Previously this show covered just one chapter per episode, but here in episode three they covered three chapters.  What’s really impressive is that they didn’t seem to miss any fanservice content while doing this and the episode didn’t feel like it was paced too fast either.  Everything was very smooth and polished.  You wouldn’t know that they dramatically increased the pacing at all.  The story segues from chapters 3, 4, and 5 felt completely natural.

This is really good news because it shows just how well this series can cover ground without losing quality, something I had been concerned about after a slow start pacing wise.  This show has a LOT of fanservice to cover and it looks like it might actually pull it off.

The art continues to look great and this episode added some impressive animation as well.  So far this show has been rivaling To Love-Darkness (2012) and High School DxD New for production quality.  Credit to Project No.9 and director Masato Jinbo for putting out such a polished product.

Anyway, this episode took things to a higher level than before service wise, which several lengthy nude scenes and some highly ‘gifable’ moments.  Despite all the (potential) nudity I’d argue that it was actually Kirara’s ass that stole the show in this episode, with some of the most thoroughly animated ass movements I can remember in a show like this.

This show is probably a little too derivative and passe by today’s standards to match the financial success of To Love-Ru Darkness and High School DxD, but I hope I’m wrong because the production has been terrific.  Project No.9 deserves success here.
