Ecchi Miscellanea: Spring 2020 (Part 1)

When the world drags you wherever but you were just searching for fanservice.

On the surface Spring 2020 wasn’t that good for fanservice. Admittedly a couple of series at best could be counted as ecchi while all the others barely tried. Then, if the scarcity of ecchi wasn’t enough, the pandemic struck and a good portion of new anime shows got postponed.

(Me at the beginning of Spring)

But on the plus side, we got shows like Gleipnir or Tsugumomo Season 2, and some other interesting finds. Let’s look a bit into them.

Princess Connect! Re Dive

This may basically be both the surprise and the pearl of the season. In a fantasy world, a long-dead-hero with a penchant to be eaten by monsters get’s summoned back to life and joins forces with a loli elf shamaness, a tsundere catgirl and an otherworldy strong princess that is always hungry (pekopeko in Japanese, hence she’s nicknamed Pecorine). It’s not ecchi per se, it doesn’t even try to be ecchi or hint at anything even remotely impure, it’s just an anime made to be advertising for a mobile game coming out soon. But the animation and art are of unexpected quality and every time Pecorine just moves a bit, the awesome boob physics of this anime do it’s job. Perfectly.

And there’s more to come!
