Overall Thoughts:
Last week covered (IMO) the best fanservice chapters of the series so far, so I figured the previous episode was likely going to be the peak for the anime as well.
Some amazing fanservice this week, most of it provided by two new characters. It may not be obvious from static screenshots but the animation really went next level, especially when Retto goes into “Beast Mode.” There’s some boob play that’s legitimately as shameless and intense as any from Shinmai Maou no Testament– and that’s honestly not something I expected to see in a show produced by Project No.9.
The story continues to be stupid, but at least this week did a good job giving a little extra depth to Retto, Kirara, and one of the new characters, Shiko. Retto’s “battle” with Shiko and Moena was pretty interesting, probably the first time we’ve seen sexual stimulation as a means of battle and not just a way to power up for battle.
Anyway, I don’t know if this show will be successful or not, but I’d really like a second season of this show. Feels like Project No.9 are hitting their stride right now.
