Terrifically Good News, and Terribly Bad News.
First the bad news. Anime News Network is reporting that Nyantype Magazine is ceasing publication.
The official website for Kadokawa’s Nyantype magazine announced on Monday that the magazine will cease publication after the January issue on November 30. However, the staff are having discussions on continuing the “Nyantype” brand name with mooks (magazine/books) and special edition magazines.
This will be the last issue and posters from this magazine. A shame as more often than not I preferred the posters from Nyantype. The end was predictable with their decision last year to go bimonthly, but it hurts all the same.
The good news is that Yabuki Kentaro will be starting a new project in 2018. In January no less, and we will be getting more info sometime in mid-December. I’m hoping it’ll be more To Love-Ru, but time will tell.
