Ecchi Miscellanea: Summer 2019 (Part 3)

Summer means…

… apparently not swimsuit, but demons, superpowers and girls stranded somewhere…

Well said.

Last part of the amazing (yeah, it’s amazing, no objection allowed) review on all the “other” shows of the last summer. (First and Second part here).

Machikado Mazoku

Yuko is a normal girl that one day wakes up with a couple horns on her head and her mother says “You know, you’re almost a demon and the heir of the Dark Clan, now go out of here and hunt down a mahou shojo to sacrify to your Ancestor’s totem.” And so Yuko goes out and almost gets run over by a truck but a mahou shoujo saves her. What’s all this absurd and cutesy stuff has to do with fanservice? Not much, if not for the fact that the Ancestor of Yuko was a succubus and now Yuko is forced to wear the same outfit. (Note: this is still better than Isekai Cheat Magician.)

Thought of the season: Don’t give the pound down to demon girls unless you get consent.

Maou-sama, Retry!

If you’re going to isekai someone why summon the average dude that plays a game, when you can summon the admin that single-handedly programmed the whole game? That’s how your average guy gets isekai-ed in a fantasy world in the body of the strongest NPC of his own game. And then he have a lot of fun roleplaying said NPC and messing around with local people. Probably one of the funniest isekai of the season, but too bad the art quality wasn’t really up to snuff. (Beware, the girl with the cloak and weird hat is not a “girl”!)

Nakanohito Genome [Jikkyouchuu]

Weird series. A bunch of youtubers that host the most followed “let’s play” streaming for videogames are abducted and forced to play in a futuristic island where they, an alpaca-masqueraded-man and a 3-stores-high-panda are the only real inhabitants. And they will stay there until they get a grandiose 100 millions views. The anime isn’t really fanservice-y, but that there are a couple of boucy ladies that look out for us, I guess. (Of course, the bounciest girl is a tsundere.)

Sounan desu ka?

Apparently, anything is cute if joshikousei do it, so this is the story of four girls stranded on an island. A genki with huge boobs, a ojou-sama with big boobs, a meganekko that seems the only sane person around and a survival-nut that is the only one actually knows what’s happening and who spends her time babysitting the other three. We’ve already published a special review for the Episode 8 (“onsen” episode, yes onsen in a deserted island).

Toaru Kagaku no Accelerator

Spin-off of the decennary Toaru Majutsu no Index. Beside the name, this is mostly a series about girls and girl-power, with nominal protagonist Accellerator that comes in from time to time to slap around villains less villainous than himself. Still got a nice quota of fanservice. (Note: Even if cringy is still better than Index S3).

Summer 2019 didn’t have many series really stand out from the crowd. But nonetheless, a lot of them delivered some kind of fanservice. We appreciate and wait for more.
