Strike the Blood – fanservice review episodes 7-11
I’m holding off on my review of episodes 4-6, as the blu-ray for those episodes has been out for some time and could become available at any time. Instead I’m moving on, these episodes are based on the TV airing version so anything I say here will just be speculation on potential blu-ray fanservice content.
ImoCho teases us with possibilities in episode eleven
Furan gets catfished in Maken-Ki! Two episode nine
Wizard Barristers episode 9… stealth nipples?
ImoCho’s tenth episode makes a fashion statement
If you aren’t watching this series, you aren’t missing terribly much. Mitsuki and her ghost friend get in a silly fight, the ghost friend leaves, they eventually have a tearful reunion and with it, a new model for Mitsuki’s chastity belt. The only thing that was really all that amusing in this episode was the bizarre cylindrical chrome ” T ” censorship they used to cover it up.
Maken-ki! Two’s eighth episode attempts to mix Nazis with sexy
Maken-ki! Two‘s 8th episode begins with principal Minori getting butthurt over an eavesdropped comment on her lack of ladylike qualities, and she decides to get back by appointing Takeru’s pervy partner in crime Kengo as the new acting principal. The expectation is that Kengo will have the power go to his head and turn the academy into a pervert’s dystopia. Kengo does not disappoint. A quick recap of some of the episode’s highlights:
Maken-Ki! Two’s “Ted” parody in episode seven is pure genius
Yuuya takes Mitsuki to the aquarium in ImoCho’s eighth episode
Another ImoCho episode comes and goes, and my confidence that it will be appropriate for a future compilation dips further and further. Even if the censorship in the early episodes ends up being legit, it would take a dramatic turnaround for ImoCho to qualify as a true fanservice series at this rate.
