After a long wait, Samurai Bride finally gets its day. It’s amazing to think that the first episode of this series aired on AT-X almost a full year ago. This series may have been boring, but it’s fanservice was anything but.
ARMS delivers martial arts combat with nude fanservice yet again complete with high production values.
Green Green is one of the best and most daring eroge to ecchi adaptations ever made. Whereas many eroge adaptations discard nudity, sometimes even basic fanservice, in an effort to focus on telling a powerful story, Green Green is utterly shameless and fully transparent with its intentions to service viewers.
Ultimate Girls was the last, dying gasp by ecchi pioneer m.o.e. (masters of entertainment), a small time anime company specializing in nude ecchi during the first nude ecchi boom (for TV). I assume it wasn’t successful, because it was the final anime m.o.e. would produce after just four years of existence.
Based on the eroge by Petit Ferret. The eroge for which this anime is based was made famous outside ecchi circles for its role in the creation of the internet Caramelldansen meme, which continues strong to this day.
From the same director as FLCL (oh, and it shows), Diebuster represents a bizarre attempt by GAINAX at a Gunbuster sequel, and in the process underscores the changes the company underwent pre- and post- Neon Genesis Evangelion.
From its arrival in the late 1980’s up until the first ecchi boom of the early 2000’s, Gunbuster was the most prominent fanservice anime for many otaku.
Here’s the nudity sorted compilation video of FREEZING Vibration’s TV run. It displays the contrast between MX’s censored version and ATX’s uncensored version. A “no nonsense” version is also available from the links below, which is the same video but removes the MX censored teasing.
This anime is based on the eroge of the same name created by Navel, though interestingly Shuffle’s manga version actually debuted a month before the game did. It’s worth noting that the manga is non-nude. The game is pornographic, and even has a fully uncensored / explicit version available.
Rie Kugimiya is no stranger to ecchi, (really just about all the top seiyuu have worked in the gutter plenty), but this was her only time in a nude ecchi series where she played her patented tsundere leading role. Aya Hirano also co-stars during a time period when both of these actresses were in the prime of their careers.
